I’m a Kingston Family Photographer, and recently had a Family Photoshoot in Canbury Park Gardens, on the River Thames.

Mum was bought a voucher for her 40th birthday by her sister and was thrilled to be able to capture some updated images of the whole family.

They were a family of five (three boys, 5, 4 and 2).  They had some gorgeous newborn images created of their first child but… life gets in the way and they hadn’t had a chance to capture any images of their second and third child yet!

We set out at 8.30am, the boys were early risers and quite frankly with children this age and the gorgeous summer light, it’s the best time to have a shoot.

They wanted to capture the boys being themselves, so we took their bikes and a football and strolled round the gardens playing and having fun.

I love building a connection with children on shoots. It’s all about capturing their attention, being fun and building their trust.

When I went for their viewing and ordering session, the family were thrilled with their images. Choosing was difficult, so they purchased them all!
